What indie sci-fi have a I missed?
I've enjoyed some of the smaller budget or indie sci-fi mind benders, and wondering what I may have missed. Not looking for horror/monsters, but don't mind if that forms part of the underlying plot.
Examples:
* Moon
* Monsters
* Another Earth
* Primer
I've seen Cube, District 9, Melancholia, Sunshine, Chronicle, Tree of Life... all of which would be good recommendations if I hadn't seen them (clearly my "smaller budget" criteria is flexible!). Tarkovsky's Stalker is one of my favorites.

If you're into horror, too, They Wait is really good. It's about chinese ghosts that used to work in a sweatshop. I know the description is a bit funny sounding, but trust me. The movie is good. Especially if you like The Grudge or The Ring.

Timecrimes - 2007 Spanish movie about time travel - good stuff.
If you liked Moon, try the same director's "Source Code." I liked it almost as much as Moon. It's a little bit more predictable, but it's a nice sci-fi combo of Groundhog Day and an action thriller, or something.
La Jetee - 60s French short movie, an interesting time travel movie, I think 12 Monkeys was heavily inspired by it.

Haven't seen They Wait, Troll Hunter or Source Code. I enjoy La Jetee quite a bit more than 12 Monkeys. Really fun mindtwist. Timecrimes was in my queue!

I watched Source Code last night. Pretty fun ideas. I like fiction movies/novels that incorporate quantum physics/alternate realities. Neal Stephenson's Anathem is a highly entertaining read in that vein.

Trollhunter just arrived from the library. Should be watching this weekend.
