DVD Talk review of 'Enter the Void' (Blu-ray)

I read Michael Zupan's DVD review of Enter the Void at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=46565 and...

I think your review really does justice to the film. Totally agree, it's a film that's not for everyone, yet it attempts to depict experiences we all may have some day. This film really stuck with me, and I am still thinking about nearly a week after viewing it.

Completely agree with this review. I recommend it as well, but wouldn't recommend repeated viewings. And yes, the last 30 minutes dragged. But over all, well worth the time.

Actually, I WOULD recommend repeat viewings, as there is always more to gain. For example, initially I felt the nearly 10-minute sex scenes in the LOVE Hotel at the end were unnecessary. But on the second viewing, Oscar mentions earlier "Wouldn't it be cool if he could watch everyone inside having sex at the same time." So I now realize that the film is showing us that is exactly what he does at the point.

Yes. I've watched both the theatrical and director's cut versions and think of the movie often. Since in many ways it is a tone poem and an examination of a philosophy, it should bear repeated viewings well, as long as you're willing to go with it.
