Thanksgiving DVDs ??

I have family coming over to my house this Thanksgiving and I want to entertain the crowd with some good holiday-themed flicks (or at least some good "around-the-holidays" fare). Any suggestions? Thanks!

Re: Thanksgiving DVDs ??

Wow! Thanks for the quick replies! While most of the relatives I'll be hosting this Thanksgiving will be adults, there will also be a few young kids (ages 4 to 7). I don't have any kid films that will fit the bill, right now, so if anyone can suggest a few suitable titles for young kids, that will be a big help, too! Thanks again!

Miracle on 34th St. (original - not the horrid remake)
A Christmas Story
Home Alone
The Santa Clause
Christmas Vacation

There are many others but those have enough action to keep kids interested and adults will like them too.

Dutch (starring Ed O'Neil) takes place around Thanksgiving time I believe. Perhaps not suitable for children, though.

White Christmas, Holiday Inn, Scrooge (Alastair Sim Version) and if you have WGN AMerica...Bozo Gar and Ray on TV on Turkey Day. More info on that special later.

Ain't that the truth? I can remember seeing this for six or seven bucks a few years back. I could just kick myself.

Gigli - it's the biggest turkey you'll see over the holiday.

Re: Thanksgiving DVDs ??

I love this site! You guys gave me a lot of good recommendations, and any of the titles I wasn't familiar with, I just plugged into the main search area and found helpful descriptions and reviews!

I already ordered a few of the dvds suggested above (Not "Gigli", though. Even a family as big as mine can't stomach that much "turkey" ;-)

Thanks again for your help!
