What is a good TV series that is available on DVD? I like 24, mobsters, Casino, Goodfellas, those kinds of programs. Any TV shows like that? I went through the Sopranos, now I want something new to watch. I like older stuff too like the Rockford Files. I've run out of television shows that I can think of. I've been looking at what's for sale at Amazon, and there isn't anything that looks that good. Help me pick some TV DVD sets to buy.

I remember Wiseguys, that is a good recommendation. I've never seen Crime Story but I like Mann, so I'll give that one a buy.

You might try "Boomtown." I found it at Kroger for $12 or so.

I'm also a Big fan of "The Rockford Files" which you said you like. How about "Perry Mason?" I have really been enjoying those. Good plots, good acting, and lots of fun to try to figure out.

I second the recommendation for Crime Story. There are lots of early appearances by people who later went on to have successful careers, like David Caruso, Lorraine Bracco, Eric Bogosian and Ted Levine. It may be difficult to believe now, but at one time Caruso could really act; he practically steals the two hour pilot episode.
