Any opinions on quality of Koch Lorber 'The Romance of Astrea and Celadon'?
Has anyone seen the Koch Lorber disk, and is it watchable?
I notice that this disk is on tap for an upcoming DVD Talk review, but I don't know if that reviewer has had the opportunity to sample the disk.
I would describe the Fox Lorber Rohmer disks of many years ago as unwatchable, with their weird panning artifacts (presumably caused by PAL-->NTSC conversion.) The Koch Lorber disk has a similar running time to the Artificial Eye disk, and this makes me wary.
I would like to order this disk for my Rohmer-loving valentine, but I need to make a decision in the next few hours if it will arrive in time. Since I'm in the USA, the AE disk is not an option for Valentine's Day, but I would prefer to wait if that disk is a much better option.
