DVD Talk review of 'Robin Williams: Inside Actors Studio'
I read Rod Bastanmehr's DVD review of Robin Williams: Inside Actors Studio at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=35380 and...
Very entertaining review. But, no thanks to ever watching this. I can only take Robin Williams as an actor in very small doses. And actually prefer his dramatic roles over his comedies. Such as "One Hour Photo" and "The Night Listener". As for a guest on any talk show, Williams is insufferable. To say the least. The man just doesn't understand that less is more.

I completely, completely agree. It's odd that he seems almost unwilling to acknowledge his ability to be serious, when his dramatic films have constantly garnered him his most praise. And I too can only handle him in small doses, if that. There is no denying his talent, but my god, the man is "on" all the time, and It's just not logical for all aspects of the art world.

No shit. I mean that evening on the Actor's Studio with him ran for FIVE HOURS!?? Where was the guy on the side of the stage with the hook? Several years ago when Williams hosted "SNL", he went on SO long during his opening monologue (not sticking to the script), they actually had to cut a skit. Just check out his spastic ramblings:
