DVD Talk review of 'Mannequin & Mannequin 2: On the Move'

I read David Cornelius's DVD review of Mannequin & Mannequin 2: On the Move at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=33081 and...

What? Mannequin was like one of the best 80's movies ever! (Granted I have not seen it in probably 15-20 years, so the movie may not actually live up to my memories of it.) Sorry to hear the picture/sound is bad quality--guess I'll have to wait for the Blu-Ray like Short Circuit

I agree Mannequin was a good movie. I pulled out the DVD probably a month ago, watched it and it's still a cute movie. Held up better than a few of the 80's movies I watched recently.

One of the most entertaining reviews I've read in a long time. Although I fully admit to it being a guilty pleasure that I watched at least a dozen times on cable in the 80's I concede that it was a horribly bad movie.

Funny and moving review, but negative points for not being objective!

For my money, a movie review shouldn't be -- and by definition, really can't be -- wholly objective. He's not reviewing a car engine or something.

QFT. Besides, this is hardly different than a gushing fanboy review...and there's no shortage of those floating around, right?

To be fair, Mannequin 2 was the finest movie based on a car engine released that year.

And thanks for the kind words. I'm actually slightly obsessed with the first Mannequin. It's one of those movies I can't not watch.
