you are nuts, why not watch the dvd on a regular tube tv 20 - 27 inch, with a flat screen
the picture looks better then todays tv shows
you must not know how to look at picture
the details are awesome
maybe all the reviewers do not understand, watching standard def dvds on hd tvs that do not show it in original pic quaility 480i degrades the signal
