The Rocketeer - Should I get it?

I was reading a thread back from 2004 and I guess there won't be new "Special Edition" coming out at all...

I enjoyed this film when I was younger and saw it on cable a few times a few months back, but I hear the current release has an awful transfer. Is there [still] no reason to believe that a better edition of The Rocketeer will be coming out anytime soon? At least with a better transfer? Or should I just get it anyway?

It's a cheap dvd pick-up and then if a special-edition does come out pass it on to a friend. They have alot of behind-scenes footage of this flim there was a cable special that I tape back in the day.So here's hope that Disney will come around someday on this very-underrated moive.

You might as well not worry about what may come and just pick it up for your enjoyment now.

I think the R4 is anamorphic and that's as good as you're going to get.

I'm sure you can find it for $5 or so. Well worth it. And I'll second the hope that Disney gets off their asses and gives this movie a SE.
