I read Ian Jane's DVD review of Highlander - Ultimate Collection at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=28122 and regarding the reference in Aqua Teen Hungerforce...
Isn't that more likely a reference to the original film than to the series it spawned? I mean, at best it shows the popularity of the overall Highlander property, but I don't think you can used the ATH reference as "proof" of the show's popularity, since the reference could still exist even if the show had never been made.
