A question for DVD reviewers

I could probably google each of these terms individually, but I don't have an HD setup or anything near it, nor any viewing set larger than, say, 25 inches, and I'm just not that observant. So I was wondering: what exactly do all the terms used in review of a DVD's picture actually mean, like "posterization" and stuff like that? Some of them I've figured out and occasionally someone will present a screen cap that may or may not illustrate what they're talking about, but I was just wondering.
