I just found the review to be poorly written, seemingly wanting to take out more of her frustration on Saw 3 than actually explaining why The Grudge 2 deserves such a high score (especially since it was one of the most negatively reviewed films of '06).

I appreciate both of your comments. I do think I explained why I scored G2 the way I did (storyline, acting, video and audio quality, extras, etc.), but I think the core of this just comes down to personal preference. I prefer the less-is-more approach in horror films, thus I really liked G2. And I don't think either of you can say the Saw franchise adheres to less is more...
