DVD Talk review of 'Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas'

I read Joshua Zyber's DVD review of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=25092 and...

In his review, Joshua quoted the scene near the beginning where Duke catalogues his drug collection. What happens next in the film and what Joshua writes about it are complete opposites.

Joshua's version: "At this, he worries that the supply may not last them through the weekend. "

The Movie's version: "Not that we needed all that for the trip, but once you get locked into a serious drug collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can."

If you're going to slag a movie, at least get your facts straight.

The new quote:

Like a Boy Scout, he believes in coming prepared. Nonetheless, don't expect the supply to last them through the weekend. They are going to Vegas, after all.
I don't seem to recall any scenes in the movie where they empty out that case and say, "Damn, we're out!". Also, the way this new version works, one would think that a stamp collector would be motivated by the desire to be prepared to send out letters... I'm sorry to nitpick, but it seems like you really had a tough time staying concious during this movie. That's all fine and well, but be honest about it instead of making stuff up that didn't happen.

Geesh, you're tough to please.

I've made one final edit. After that, we're going to have to agree to disagree.

It's disappointing that Uni dropped the ball on QC for this title. I hope the other titles aren't going to be this bad in the future.
