DVD Talk review of 'Hustle: Complete Season One'
I read Preston Jones's DVD review of Hustle: Complete Season One at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=23298 and... must beg to differ. HUSTLE is one of the most inventive and consistently entertaining series currently on TV. The so-called "by-the-numbers" plotting always twists the cliche rather than vice-versa and in nearly unpredictable ways. HUSTLE debuted along with a series of similar programs (and excpt for THIEF) rightfully remains the lone survivor.
I agree the series takes an episode or two to hit its stride, but that only adds hidden treasure on repeated viewings ... you see what you missed the first time around. Jones repeatedly calls HUSTLE a drama, but it is as much comedy as drama. Season 3 even has a Bollywood parody. "Rent It" indeed ... HUSTLE is VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
