DVD Talk review of 'Intimate Stories'
I read Svet Atanasov's DVD review of Intimate Stories at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=22946 and...
I've been meaning to pick up the Spanish DVD but the price of it has stopped me a couple of times then I was surpised to see a review of it here but as soon as I saw "New Yorker Video" any hopes of my waiting for an R1 release came crashing down. Even before reading the Video section of the review I knew what was coming. Why can't new yorker ever go the right way. Yet another disapointment from them. I guess I'll have to pick up that Spanish PAL dvd. Thanks again for a great review.

Sorry for the late follow-up...I was out of town today!
Well, I think that I finally gave up with New Yorker! I love their films yet they simply do not seem to care what people have to say. I mentioned it so many times: If New Yorker, Kino, and Strand Releasing/TLA manage to avoid all of the cheap PAL-ports my import activities will be greatly affected. Let's say that 75% of the films I am interested in owning in my library will be purchased from them (they could easily be the studio(s) Home Vision was...and...voila...more money for them and less hassle for us...). I would probably end up only importing films that are HIGHLY unlikely to ever reach the US. As it is...full force...R2 imports.
Sorry to upset you BuddhaWake...but it is what it is....It is a lovely film though. Beautiful to watch!
