If you like procedurals, you might like this. It's closer to the Without a Trace style than the C.S.I. style, but it's essentially the same thing as the other 15 procedurals on the air, just with a math twist. Like all of them, you have to check your brain at the door, as much of the math is oversimplified or misrepresented, but some of the concepts are clever, and the cast is pretty likeable. Personally, I wouldn't go out of my way to get the DVDs, as procedurals are more passive viewing for me, but if you like that kind of stuff, it's one of the better ones.

I started watching it when it first aired, and watched four episodes or so. I liked it, but I started to miss episodes, so I figured I'd wait for DVD. It's a good show, but it is similar to some other shows, as the poster above noted. It's definitely worth at least renting.

Worse than CSI. IMHO, it's a CSI ripoff. The math guy comes off as an idiot savant, which is why I call the show "CSI: Rain Man." Just as Hoffman's character wandered around mumbling "gotta watch Wapner," the character of Charlie wanders around mumbling "numbers don't lie." I tried to give it a chance, but for the type of show it was, the required suspension of disbelief was too much for me.
