Was considering pre-ordering this title as part of the 3-for-2 sale at DDD andwas wondering if it was worth it. Didn't seem to be many reviews of the film online. Thanks in advance.

Watched it last night. Currently writing my review for another site but since it's in french it probably won't help. To summarize, it's a mishmash of fact, fiction and melodrama that really doesn't gel. Starts out well enough but the whole love story subplot is just ridiculous. Documentary style narration is used in a couple of spots to fast forward the story along but only manages to breakup the flow of the film. Worth a watch, but only because of Peter Falk's performance and a couple of noirish scenes at the beginning and near the end (on the pier).
