The Alternate Ending where,
on the previous Special Edition has been left off the extended edition.
Another interesting note: the Special Edition cover says the ratio is 2.35:1 whereas the Extended Edition says 2.40:1...

You're right Robert, it certainly wasn't in the version (or anywhere else on the disc) I posted the review on. I haven't seen the second edition where this was included. I've also watched the first edition on a few occasions. Actually I was always disappointed that it wasn't in the movie!
I also thought the 2.40:1 aspect ratio was odd. I have the first edition here at home and it is listed as 2.35:1 on the back cover.

"2.35:1" and "2.40:1" are effectively the same thing. The real theatrical projection standard was changed to 2.40:1 in the 1970s, but people in the industry continued to refer to it as "2.35:1" out of habit.
