Sucks that there are no trailers, but reading the review got me all excited for the set! I've put off getting any Batman films waiting for this day.

If I'm not mistaken, each DVD contains one trailer. This is actually quite common with Warner discs. They rarely include both teasers and trailers for their films.

The movie disc of each of the four films has the original theatrical trailer. So there ARE trailers. I think the complaint is we don't get ALL the trailers and TV spots.

I don't have DTS, but the idea of someone reviewing a DVD without the proper equipment is pretty stupid...of course I'm referring to the remark about having someone with DTS write in and reveal their thoughts on that audio track of the DVD.

Those sound great! I can't wait!

The guy who reviewed that wasn't very good. He acted like Batman came out 100 years ago, it was only 16 years. I mean I'm not saying that it was like last year or something, but he makes it sound like then came out a century ago. Saying he was surprised that anything existed from a movie coming out from so long ago. He even said that it's been so long since Batman & Robin came out...7 years is not a long time.

Sorry that's just me

Ah, I see! I must have misread his review. Thank you for claifying though! Agreed that all of them would be much better, but I'm happy there's at least the one.

I agree, Nick....regarding the DVD Town Review -- this guy doesn't even have a DTS decoder in this day and age while reviewing a DVD audio track?! DVD Town is more of a joke than I thought. LOL

The DTS tracks sound great on Batman Returns, Batman Forever and Batman & Robin. But I found the DTS on Batman to be virtually indistinguishable from the 5.1 Dolby track on it.

Is it the same 5.1 track that was on the original release?

I ask because that one wasn't very good- an occasional directional sound effect and Danny Elfman's score in mono- with the minor exception of the opening titles.

It just doesn't make sense writing a review of anything- a DVD, a movie, whatever- if the reviewer is lacking the equipment required, or has researched the subject (if it's not a DVD but something like a book, piece of music, etc.)

I didn't have the luxury of DTS when I first started reviewing here, but I made it through the gauntlet unscathed.

Thanks for the posting. I agree with the author on all accounts, ESPECIALLY the cover art. Alas, even though the packaging is part of the entire experience, we must remember that you cannot judge a book by the cover. But damnit, why couldn't the R1 covers be sharp like the rest of the regions covers??

Damn my complete addiction to the Batman movies, for they shall be mine in 4 days. Furthermore, the extras are going to be a blast to watch. Can't wait!

I just read Shannon's DVDEmpire review- excellent, and very informative!

It makes me more excited about the set, thanks to the details of what you get to see/hear in the extras.
