DVD Talk review of 'Finding Neverland'
I read Scott Lecter's DVD review of Finding Neverland at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=14947 and..."Yes, it's a heart wrenching film that's purpose is to make you reach for the box of tissues, but there are times when it gets so sugary-sweet that I thought I might get a cavity."
I don't think that Finding Neverland could be summed up any better than this. I think going in to this film I wanted to like it and I did like just not as much as I thought I would. I guess maybe my expectations were too high. I just felt like I was waiting for something major to happen other than the obvious.
Also there were accusations to J.M. Barrie similar to those that Michael Jackson is currently dealing with. If you had a 40 year old male neighbor who liked to have sleepovers with non related toddlers, would you think of this as completely innocent in this day in age?
Johnny Depp was quite good in this, but not nearly as good as his earlier films like Crybaby and The Astronaut's Wife.

Lecter,
Please where does Neverland rank in your top films for 2004?
