Fine review of Cat Returns, but wanted to disagree with John Sinnott's praise for Tim Curry's voice-over in The Cat Returns. Nothing wrong with Curry's performance, per se, but it's yet another example of Disney working too hard to Americanize perfectly universal Ghibli dialogue. Do we really need the "Cat King" calling everyone "babe"? Why turn something surreal into a farce? Do we need the "Cat King" to be "King Ralph"?
