Is the "Rocky Anthology" worth it?

Anyone have the new, complete "Rocky Anthology" and tell me if it's worth it?
I am waivering because I have the older version of "Rocky" only and really only want 2 & 3. I may watch 4, but 5 is a seller.

So anyone comment on the set as a whole (pic and audio), thanks...

Reviewed the set in some detail here, if you interested - http://filmfreakcentral.net/dvdreviews/rocky.htm For what it's worth, that link contains a semi-revealing screen cap comparison between the 2001 Special Edition and 2004 transfers of ROCKY; I wouldn't trade the SE for the Anthology version, if that's the "old" one to which you're referring, since I prefer the extras to the bland DTS remix.

II is upgraded to anamorphic in the Anthology, likewise IV. III is on a par with the previous release. My advice? Wait for the individual releases of the Anthology discs, which are due sometime this spring.

i thought they were all released separately on Tuesday? Best Buy.com had them, but not in store. actually, that is the only store that listsit. Not even DVDPriceSearch has it. Weird! Are these released or not?

Whoops, just went through some press releases, and yes, apparently the individuals came out February 8th--$14.95 each. Hope you can find 'em somewhere.

Should I buy the 2001 version of Rocky 1 and the individual ones after that?

My local Best Buy had I and II, but that's it. Also, I was priced at $9.99 while II was priced at $12.99. How come?

That's what I personally would do.

I hated Rocky 4 more than Rocky 5 simply because Apollo dies, and I loved Apollo. I think it was stupid they had him die. What moron thought that up? It would have been better to see him paralyzed and coping with the pressures of not boxing anymore. He was too imprtant to the series.

It looks as if the new transfer is much better than the previous in regard to Rocky I. Though, the new transfer is slightly cropped and zoomed.

When I can get a good deal on them, I will probably pick up the first three movies.

i don't think you can get better than $9.99 per, which most places have it at, but then isn't it worth it to get all of it for a few dollars more?

That's what I was thinking. I think Deep Discount DVD sells the boxset around $40.00. Maybe I'll wait for one of the 20% off coupons and then get it for around $32.00 or so (assuming they don't bump the price at the time of the coupon as they did with some titles).
