The new Rocky Boxset
Does anyone know when reviews of the new Rocky Boxset will pop up? I heard a few months ago, there will be commentaries for all 5. I'll doubledip if the commentaries still hold true.

No commentaries, no extras except for trailers. New high def transfers + a DTS track on Rocky I. The transfer on Rocky I is a significant improvement over the SE.

If anybody's interested, reviewed the set with screencaps here -

As for your other question, my advice? Pick up the new anthology, and try to find a copy of the ROCKY Special Edition cheap, if only because its supplementary material is genuinely missed on the DTS disc.

ok thanks, yeah i'm think i'm going that route, picking the anthology(for the better transfers and DTS) and finding the previous SE of the first one.But i'm gonna wait fot the later, maybe the extra disc has good enough material, i hope.

I watched this set over the weekend, Bill's right. The first film is slightly cropped - it's minor and won't be a huge deal for most, but it is definitely there. I didn't notice anything problematic with the aspect ratio on any of the other four films though.
