what many didn't like about the movie is that there are no dick and fart jokes that smith is known for in his other flicks.

I definitely think there's a feeling among the LCD of Smith's fans that this movie was a move away from the films they love (the fart films).

Personally I think the general breakdown goes like this:

Clerks, Mallrats, Jay and Silent Bob
16-30 y/o

Chasing Amy, Dogma, Jersey Girl
30+

Dogma straddles the line, but the themes lean towards an older audience.

It was pretty good. Although I think it could've been a lot better, and maybe a litter more clever. I'd like to see how the director's cut turned out. I heard he cut a lot of footage. In the end, it seemed a little too generic, but overall it was still good.

I thought it was EXTREMELY lame. The best part of the dvd is the Leno stuff Smith did.
