DVD Talk review of 'South Park: The Complete Fourth Season'
I read Jason Bovberg's DVD review of South Park: The Complete Fourth Season at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=11342 and... you mention that paramount was the reason for the season 1 debacle over the commentaries. it in fact was warner who distributed the first 2 seasons. warner was upset about some of the content regarding the movie contact.

I wonder - with Paramount now re-releasing Seasons 1 & 2, is there any reason not to include the commentaries anymore?

Paramount owns the video rights to all seasons of South Park now.
Paramount released seasons 1 and 2 under the Paramount logo on Tuesday, 29 June, which AFAIK are exactly the same as the original Warner releases, only at a higher price point ($49.99 rather than $39.99 MSRP).
Can anyone confirm they're otherwise the same?

I didn't rebuy the Season 1 box (to replace the single disc volumes) until I could confirm those skits were still on there. More Matt and Trey is always a good thing.

Warner Bros. released the first two seasons.
Before the third season came out Paramount acquired the rights to the series.
Paramount is now putting out the first two seasons of the show for the first time.
They are identical to the WB sets except for the logo on the packaging and logo on the discs.
