Review: Chronicles Of Riddick: Dark Fury
Can't find one on the site. ARGH!!! And it's not on the release list.
So.........................What's the deal with this DVD?
I'm probably going to pick it up anyway on my way home from work.

Interesting. I hadn't heard of this. It's an anime film that bridges the gap between Pitch Black and the current movie - much like Animatrix (not surprisingly, one of the Animatrix guys appears to be involved in this one.)
I'd be eager to read more. Anyone know anything?

I got a preview disk with the trailer of it from the free screening of Riddick. It doesn't look very good. The animation is by the guy who did Aeon Flux. The plot introduces the bounty hunter from Chronicles of Riddick.
For less than $10, it might be worth a look at but I probably won't spend my money on it. Bear in mind that the cartoon is only about 35 minutes long.

I liked it. I found it interesting the way they blended the 3D and 2D.
The story was nice way to bridge the two shows.
I got it for $10 from Target... that much.
The Special Features are kind of cool too... worth watching.

The DVD is speeding it's way to me via the US postal service as I type. We received this disc a little later than usual, but I'll try to get the review up as soon as I can.

I thought it was cool. I'd give it a 6.5/10. If you enjoyed Riddick and Pitch Black like I did, then it was a worthy addition. Extras are alright, but for $10, WTH.
I ignored Van Helsing, but I was somewhat eager for this.
Dialogue was a little weak, but thumbs up, nonetheless.
With that 20% off at DDD, its worth the few $.

Bought it and watched it and thought it was just pretty cool! It would of been nicer if it was a tad bit longer, atleast an hour or close to it. But nonetheless it was enjoyable, but truthfully, there was no need for it, story-wise.

I received my review copy today (finally) and have posted my review:

In a nutshell, the animation was good, but it was too short and there wasn't much of a story. Would have been a great extra on the new Pitch Black DVD. But $15 retail for a half hour show?!!?

Even though it was by Peter Chung it was not done with his usual really thin people. The characters who are real look very much like the Actors. It did a good job or bridging the gaps. Like who was the bounty hunter and their history. It also explains how Jack and the father get to New Mecca. And why Riddick went into hiding. I got it for 9.99 and I was not disappointed.
