First Return of the King reviews start appearing...
...which are largely pointless. Of course Mr. Bracke at DVDFILE.COM can't help but throw the 'homoeroticism' and 'anti-climactic' cards in there, but surprisingly gives the (likely) very highly-compressed video high marks:

The Digital Bits claim their review will be up at midnight.
As for you, you're either buying this one without a second thought or holding out for December's 4-disc. Or you're still not won over.

it looks great so far. i know alot of you were concerned about a 201 min movie all on one disc, but the picture quality is amazing according to reviews. the bit rate is at around 8.5.
