DVD Talk review of 'Tube'
I read Jeffrey Robinson's DVD review of Tube at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=10432 and...
What the hell? The DVD only has a Korean 2.0 track? The Korean DVD doesn't even have a 2.0 track. Judging by the review, I'm positive the dubbing hurt the movie. I have the Korean release and it was never hard to follow. The Korean release has an AWESOME DTS-ES track, which should have definitely been on the CTS DVD.
Granted, the movie isn't very good, but it has a nice style and the music is great. I wouldn't say it's a one-star movie but to each his own. Like I said, the dubbing probably hurt.
I found the movie kind of goofy, and took it as that. The director is way too out of touch with reality to take this movie seriously, but I do agree that he tries to do serious things with the movie. I would say it's worth a rental if it had a Korean 5.1 track, but now I don't know.
