Thanks for everyone's feedback on this ... I'm thinking I'm going to pick it up after work tomorrow. Curious, though: is the movie entirely in French with English subtitles?

The film is delightful... so full of joy and creativity... and the characters are very charming (if not realistic at all - but hey - it is a kind of fairytale after all). Visually it is amazing too.
It is all in French... just give it multiple viewing and soon you'll forget about the subtitles... then you'll be able to enjoy every detail.

Also, I can't imagine anybody not enjoying this movie or feeling good after they watch it. If you enjoy foreign films, it is certainly worth a blind buy, especially at the low price that you can find it now.

I agree with Mr. Malloy - it's nothing special. In fact, I think it's a pretty annoying film, but I will admit that Audrey Tatou has a charming screen presence, for about 1/2 hour.

I bought it blind many months ago. I thought the cinematography was gorgeous. However, I thought the movie sucked. It was dull, trite, and predictable. That being said, I'm CLEARLY in the minority here... so more power to you.
