Planet of the Apes (25th Anniversary Edition)

Here is a link to our review of the 25th Anniversary Edition of Planet of the Apes:

And here is the overall final thought on the release:

"This is the way the movie should have been released in the first place. But now it has been done right."

Does anyone know if they are planning on revisiting all of the films?

I would at least like to see Beneath The Planet Of The Apes given the anamorphic transfer treatment.

According to the Fox chat at Home Theater Forum a couple weeks ago, they're going to see how this version does before making any decisions on the other movies. So there's nothing planned at this point, but it could happen.

I'm doing my part and picking this one up!

My apes collection still won't be complete until I get the cartoon, but a 16x9 of the original will certainly be good. I'll try to get it when I get some cashflow.

I am glad I held off from buying the non-anamorphic DVD, I will be picking this one up.

I borrowed a friends of mines PotA box set and enjoyed joyed the movies very much. Even after all these years the movie still hold up to the test of time.
