Raw Meat...
Anyone else out there surprised by this forgotten little gem?
I never knew of this Gary Sherman flick before stumbling upon it at a local BestBuy. For those unfamiliar with Sherman he's the guy responisble for, along with Ronald Shusett, the classic DEAD & BURIED. RAW MEAT, from 1973, tells the story of canibalistic dwellers living beneath the streets of London. This is one hell
of a good film. I really didn't know what to expect, and I was pleasantly surprised. Speaking of "pleasantly," the late Donald Pleasence stars along with Christopher Lee. For under $10 bucks, this anamorphically enhanced transfer rocks. Even the mono soundtrack packs a punch. It's definitely worth a look.

I bought it 2 weeks ago. Pretty good flick. The underground subway, especially the abandoned one, give the movie a creey and atmospheric feel to the film. Donald Pleasence plays a pretty funny english cop in this one. I was disappointed in the killer though.
Definitely worth checking out.
