reading those reviews isnt helping. i get the feeling that they need a deep meaningful movie for it to get a good rating...if not they rip it to shreds. reminds me of movie reviews in my old college paper - EVERY movie was given a bad grade just in case it wasnt cool. in their eyes, its better to rip a good movie than praise a bad one. so they take the safe route. might not be true here (these movies might suck) but i need more input from people who are on the same wavelength as me.
im looking for a movie that will entertain me. period. i dont need to learn something or get a moral. great acting isnt necessary. maybe these movies will do it. just entertain me for 90 minutes.
so im looking for people who have similar interests as i do (i like action/comedies like rush hour and i like fun comedies like tommy boy, etc) and who also own these (or any of the above 3 dvds im looking for help on). anyone around that can help? thanks.

I haven't seen the first 2. Bulletproff Monk looked good to me. I'd go for that one. Cradle To The Grave would be good, I dunno if I'd like it tho. National Security, I saw part of it, didnt like it at all. Martin Lawrence just isn't that funny anymore. If I were you I'd also pick up Bad Boys 2 this Fall/Winter. I thought that movie was AWESOME.
So......
Bulletproof Monk...Yes
C2TG...Maybe
National Security...no
when it comes out... get Bad Boys 2.

Cradle 2 the Grave sucked. I would definitely NOT recommend it as a blind buy.
I haven't seen the other 2 movies, though I kind of want to watch Bulletproof Monk.

Yeah I do like those kinds of films. Overall, C2G was the most entertaining and I really did not like National Security at all, it is a very unfunny movie. So your best bet would be Cradle. BPM was an okay movie but not as good as Cradle.

I haven't seen the other 2 yet (will rent them from netflix) but I did enjoy C2G. Even though I hate DMX (from way back in the day when he first started rapping, before he got "real" famus) I thought he gave a great performance in this one. It ain't oscar caliber but pretty good for this type of movie. I would have to say that this is the best Jet Li movie he made in the US so far. All IMO of course.

Cradle 2 the Grave was a pretty good movie..especially if that is the type of movie you like..some good action and a decent story
National Security is one of the worst movies i've ever seen..i had high hopes going in, but i don't think there was a single funny thing about it.

I've only seen Bulletproof Monk and would not recommend it. It is nothing like Rush Hour which I found to be hilarious. I didn't find this movie to be particulary funny, and the action sequences weren't very good. It didn't feel dynamic at all except for the cool scene where Chow Yun Fat does the slo mo swirl with two guns in hands on the roof of the car that you see in the trailer. I also found the plot to be extremely thin/nonsensical. Don't get me wrong, I didn't hate the movie, I was bored by it, which is worse. The female lead was cute, though. Definitely a rental.
