Anyone seen "Gotcha!"...?

Yeah, I was one of those people that snagged it from Overstock for three bucks. I figured if I didn't like it, it'd be easy to get rid of.

Is it any good though? Amazon reviews are pretty enthusiastic, but IMDb rates it 5.6.

In case anyone asks - it's 2.0 sound, anamorphic widescreen.

It's an ok movie... Anthony Edwards is a bit dorky and I think it's one of Linda Fiorentino's first roles. It coud feel a little dated due mainly because this was to take place before the fall of the Berlin wall.

Spoiler:
Basically, Anthony Edwards is a college student that plays assasin with his geeky friends (they run around campus trying to shoot each other with paintball markers), he can't get the girls, so he and a friend head to Europe and find Fiorentino. He hooks up with her and falls for her, thinking she some hot German babe. He comes to find out she's a US spy and is stuck going thru her adventure into the eastern block (she slips some sort of microfilm on him).

Nothing outstanding, but I thought it was ok.

It's one of my "guilty pleasures" - it's not a great film, but it's one I've enjoyed each time I watch it. Lots of fun!

Definitely a nostalgia movie for me. If I hadn't seen it when I was an 80's high-schooler, I might not like it as much as I do.
