The Last Minute review
Stephen Norrington's third and most personal effort comes to DVD.
The Last Minute is an experience best left undescribed, the less you know the better. I found it to be interesting on several levels especially the writing and editing techniques utilized. While the film might seem forced and incidentally derivative, it contains many original elements and is fascinatingly executed, with a terrific electronic soundtrack.
The DVD is brimming with extras including full versions of moments in the film. Among them are 3 full length videos 4 "television" spots and several shorts on various aspects of the production. The extras can be accessed through a set of screens or on one simple ? screen which contains all of them listed.
A cheeky film that rumbles downhill like a snowball, culminating in a satisfying if forgone conclussion and a feature packed DVD of what could be a minor cult fave.
