Topper collection, Topper & Topper Returns

I got the Artisan/Hallmark 2 movies on one disc a few days ago for 10.63 at DDD. From a quick look it seems like it is a decent transfer of movies of this age from this company.

I wonder where is the middle film, Topper Takes a Trip?

That's what I'd like to know! The second film is quite good, it is strange they released the first and third together.

great film- disappointing disc

just got this, too.. great deal - 2 classics for $10. however very disappointing transfer on topper #1. this is a CLASSIC - deserved better than this.

#3 is probably general domain. bought the IMage version earlier.. better print and has a GREAT trailer.. though, in retrospect not worth having both versions.

#2 is probably held up on copyrights.. but just my guess..

Topper Double Bill

Did anyone pick up the Topper Double Bill (Topper, Topper Returns) with Cary Grant? I really like both films and am considering picking it up but I have heard mixed reviews of the transfer quality.

Ok transfers, nothing special... but it may be as good as it gets, unless somebody makes a full restoration effort, which is unlikely.

You might want to become familiar with the search function, since there already is a thread about this:

Thanks for the reply. For the record, I did do a search for Topper and Topper Returns but I did it on the DVD Talk page not this one. It seemed the appropriate place for it as I was asking about the quality of the dvd edition not whether the movie was any good. I'm still getting the hang of these forums. Thanks.

Thanks for pointing me to the link. I'll probably pick these up as it is probably unlikely that they will be redone and the fact that it is so cheap at DDD. Thanks.
