I completely disagree with what the reviewer had to say. This was a great DVD and a superb choice of episodes (except maybe not including Part 2 of the "To The Tenth Power" episode). And "Forever Red" has to be one of the best episodes in Power Rangers history (although I do agree about the ending). The episode would have been better if MMPR Productions were more in control at that point. They wanted to make it a movie. But Disney disagreed...

The only good episodes imo are the first and second season.

I think its a mistake for someone to review a show that they had no taste for in the beginning.

This sounds like a great idea for a new topic. At what point would you consider it a mistake? Should a reviewer have to love a show, which would color his/her perceptions, or would it be better if the reviewer had little knowledge of the movie-where they'd probably be more objective about it?

I don't necessarily think that a reviewer should love the show, but for a niche show like Power Rangers, that obviously appeals to young kids and little else, i do give in to the fact that it would be hard to find someone who would rave about this release.

The reviewer did comment that he felt it was 'kind of cool' but i don't know... i watched the show when i was younger and i actually thought the first episodes mentioned in the review were the best of the early days. Ah well, i guess i'm just being picky.

I haven't seen the dvd so I can't say I'd rave about it but I've always had a soft place for the show (which I also thought was "kinda cool" in a goofy sorta way). I see your point-you won't have a hardcore feminist reviewing porn and expect it to get a fair shake but I don't think he was quite that tough on the Power Rangers. Feel free to email me if you have any more ideas about it though, I think you have a point (in general). Thanks.
