T2: Extreme Review??
Does anyone know of a review of the T2: Extreme DVD? It boasts of a new video transfer, and I was wondering if it was better than the Ultimate Edition.
Thanks.
Thanks.

excerpted from the DVD Authority review:
"Dialogue is of course, clear and lacks that "muffled" effect that a lot of soundtracks have these days. Granted they're old Dolby Surround tracks that have been re-mastered in 5.1 sound, but T2 was originally a 6-channel mix, so this is a natural progression."
huh? what a complete mess of two sentences. The only thing I could to add to this, is that the film has always sounded great - on video and in the theatre. It was one of the first films released in Kodak's now defunct Cinema Digital Sound system.
Why was DTS left off of this new version? was there not enought space?

"The transfer has great colors, unlike other DVDs that have really poor colors. Of course, those are mostly movies that were filmed in black & white."

I will be picking this up today.
My new 2.6Ghz computer with XP will be showing up next week and I am looking forward to watching it on HD.
I just hope that does not become a standard. We do not need MicroSoft controling the DVD market.

3.0 GHz processor (I have 1.8 GHz)
512 mb RAM (have it)
128 mb graphic card (have it)
At least 1600 x 1200 monitor capibility (that's my max)
I tried it but it said I had to download some extra software first....

I'm outa luck. I have a Pentium 3 500 MHz! Oh well, save it for whenever I get a new computer later this year or sometime next year. The first dvd is awesome though, lots of extras and sounds great! I turned my Sony receiver up half way and the whole room was shaking.
