Thanks for the link, as I'll now be holding onto my original disc based on the review.

If you have the original there's no point in upgrading IMO..The sound was fine

I'll definitely be picking up the Superbit for the DTS track alone, especially since the reviewer notes better bass. I thought the fight scene in the alley on the original disc was severely lacking in bass (especially when Prodigy's "Smack My Bitch Up" bass line kick in), when compared to how I had seen it in the theater. I'll be holding onto my original for the McG commentary track as well.

I never had the original disk, but I picked up the SB Deluxe yesterday. All I can say is "WOW". The picture quality and sound were top notch. The picture was incredibly sharp throughout with a tremendous amount of detail. This was very evident right off the bat with the pre-title sequence. DTS track, of course, was very active and always had something flying around you.

This was a blind buy for me, and I couldn't have been happier. The movie was a lot of fun. Never took itself that seriously, and
Spoiler:
Crispin Glover was tremendous as the villian (even though I don't think he had any lines).

Since I never saw the original DVD release, I can't say whether it's worth a rebuy, but if you haven't checked it out yet, it's time to give it a whirl.

Definite improvement on the bass with the DTS track.
