Is Cube worth "upgrading", how about Cube2?
I have the original version and love the movie. I put in an order last night for the signature version and Cube2. Reading reviews on Cube2 I'm not really hearing anything positive and so far I haven't found much on the new version of Cube. So I was wondering what everyone's impressions were of these DVDs?

Check G. Noel Gross' review at http://www.cineschlock-o-rama.com/ -- an anamorphic widescreen presentation and a Dolby Digital 5.1 mix alone are compelling enough to upgrade, and some of the extras sound interesting.

Not really worth 'upgrading' Cube in my instance as i own the French R2 which is anamorphic anyway and includes Vicenzo Natali's short film 'Elevated'

Is there a particular reason why Elevated has not been included on either of Cube's releases in the US? I've seen the short and it's awesome, but I want to actually have it on a disc.
As for Cube 2, it's horrendous. If you're a fan of the first film, you'd do well to avoid this so as not to tarnish the greatness of Cube.

Cube 2 is certainly one of the worst movies ever. I only watched about 15 minutes and almost puked on my hardwood floor on the way to the bathroom. Luckily, I quickly inserted memories of Cube, the original, and made it to the toilet without disaster.

I have the original Cube DVD, and I won't bother upgrading.

I'm "upgrading" Cube, but also keeping the old disc for the different commentary and other extras that aren't on the new one... The disc is cheap enough ($13 shipped at DDD) that I'm not going to worry too much about having both.
As for Cube 2... ugh. It's a bad movie. Catch it for free on the Sci-Fi Channel (it's on tonight at 9pm). Or, better yet, pretend it doesn't exist and skip it. It's a bad movie.

I thought Cube 2's lameness was mostly the fault of the horrible acting. I don't think there was a single person who wasn't irratating.
I'll def. pick up this version of Cube 1 though.

The acting in Cube 2: Hypercrap was horrible for the most part but there was no logic to the script, it was friggin hack work out to make a buck. Geraint Wyn Davies became a crazy cannibal......for no particular reason towards the end and the film got even funnier..........unintentionally of course.

Got Cube 2 today and it isnt THAT bad... I have seen a lot worse. I would rather watch this movie over and over than see Chicago again (the first movie I ever walked out of), Charlies Angels, Moulin Rouge, Battlefield Earth, etc...

Too bad you posted this so late... it would have made great copy for the front cover of the DVD:
