DVD Talk Limited Edition
I haven't seen a lot of online reviews, but here's one:
http://www.dvdfile.com/news/viewpoin...003/01_14.html
also, www.bowiewonderworld.com has a lot of bowie-related commentary.
I for one absolutely love this set. It spans the entirety of Bowie's career, from the Ziggy days to the Let's Dance era to his Earthling videos and on. The sheer diversity of style and presentation here just blows almost any other musician away. It's hard to believe the same man doing "Life On Mars?" is the one in the goth-techno "I'm Afraid Of Americans" 30 years later. It's even fun to see the bad videos, like the godawful Bowie/Mick Jagger "Dancing In The Streets" camp-fest. And a lot of the recent videos, from his last 10 years or so, you'll probably find to be brand new to you since MTV no longer bothers playing videos. I think some of his recent videos rank with the best he's ever done.
To sum up: Nearly 50 videos, some cool easter eggs, you really need to pick this set up if you're any kind of Bowie fan at all.

I'm probably the biggest Bowie fan you'll find among DVD reviewers, and I generally liked the collection. It's a great set of material undone only somewhat by erratic visual quality. Still, Bowie's the MAN and it's a packed package of great music and generally interesting videos.

Hey, that is an excellent review, Oatsdad. I'm glad to see I wasn't the only one who noticed the DVD picture quality is a little poor - - no huge deal, but the shimmering title effects on Disc 2 struck me as a little unprofessional. Oddly enough, I really liked the sublimely twisted "Heart's Filthy Lesson" video - to me, it struck me as Bowie doing Manson, NIN et al up right. A chilling little piece of theater.
