Anyone seen "Mrs. Dalloway" ('98) ?

I haven't seen The Hours yet, but I'm really looking forward to it...

But I'm thinking of putting it off until I've seen this movie first, since The Hours is so intricately tied to this story...

(If I understand right, one woman is writing the novel, one is reading it, and one is living a parallel story...)

So -- has anyone seen this version of the original? I love Vanessa Redgrave, so I'm intrigued... Is it silly to want to watch this one first?

Any reviews? Comments on Mrs. Dalloway and its applicability to The Hours?

It's good. Of course, uh, you might also want to read the books "Mrs. Dalloway" and "The Hours".

That would require my being more than only semi-literate.

My advice: buy the flowers yourself.

Fine. But I'm keeping the doors on their hinges.
