Do you like Cronenberg?
This was the first Criterion I ever bought and I never looked back, lol. I think Dead Ringers is Cronenberg's best film, and this is one of my favorite Criterion's because the extras are unique and interesting. I say go for it.

My take: Jeremy Irons as the “Dream Gynecologist” in DC’s chilling tale of twin OBGYN’s slowly descending into a drug induced nightmare, filled with mutant woman and bizarre medical instruments. Extremely chilling; loosely based on a true story. Not for the faint of heart.
It is an amazing movie. Will you like it? I have no clue. If you are in doubt, you can rent first.
