Wendigo-Reviews/Thoughts Wanted

I've seen mixed things about this title. It sounds good and I like "Dewey" from Malcolm, but if it has some hokey "deer monster" I don't think so....

Anyone have any thoughts?

For what it's worth, here's my DVD Talk review. I thought this film was undone not only by a laughably bad deer monster but also by its failure to delve into the wendigo myth in any meaningful way.

I like Dewey as well and it looks creepy but basically just sucks.

the deer monster is horribly cheesy-looking and it's just not scary at all.

plus it just ends without much happening

not even worth a rental

Afraid I haven't heard many good things about this puppy... Let's hope Artisan drops it in price to $10 soon.

I watched this last night. IMO it wasn't too good.

I'll have to add another thumbs down. This is the worst movie I've watched in the past few months.

I saw it in the theater and thought it was quite good. The "deer monster" as people say is vague and seen only in brief flashes. I didn't think it was hokey. Rent it and see what you think.

I too wasn't as disappointed as others seem to have been. I do agree with the ending not really giving you anything to talk about, but I enjoyed it as a rental. Wouldn't buy it though.
