With this title coming out this week, have any DVDTalkers had a chance to take a look at this DVD yet?

Though I haven't seen it, I thought these links were appropriate to this thread:

I watched it this morning & the transfer was pretty nice. The stereo sounded mono, but adequate. The 2 deleted scenes were funny (one is just Jerry Lewis' whole monologue) & the movie itself is still very good. It's a shame it didn't help Lewis the way Pulp Fiction did Travolta.

Wasn't this originally announced with a Scorsese commentary? Did that fall through or did I just imagine it in a dream?

Commentary didn't happen. Scorsese was too busy tweaking Gangs of New York.

I finally got around to watching this DVD last night and was rather surprised to see that there is a disclaimer for the commentary that appears as the DVD loads up... shame there was nothing to disclaim

I had forgotten why I liked this film so much... definitely one of the best of the De Niro/Scorcese collaborations. I was particularly amused by the scene where...

Spoiler:
Tony Randall is having problems with the opening speech Pupkin has written and stops the character Scorcese has written himself in to play, imploring him with "you're the director, can't you do something?"

I had not noticed that in past viewings.

regards, Tim...
