I watched Criterion's Peeping Tom last night. I really enjoyed it. I was expecting an art house film of sort, but this could really be enjoyed by anyone. I was surprised by how frank the sex and violence is for a movie from that period. Notice I said frank, not graphic. The added documentary was kind of lame. It's more about the writer than the movie itself. Definitly recomended if you are in the mood for a higher quality mad slasher movie.

The outraged reviews this received caused Hitckcock a lot of concern, since Psycho was about to be released.

I found the documentary fascinating - I hadn't been aware that the writer literally grew up in the bookstore made famous in 84 Charing Cross Road.

It's a great movie, long neglected, and a great DVD release.
