She Wore A Yellow Ribbon
I just got this DVD last night. Just as you might assume, the print is in really great shape. Warner Brother's did a great job with the transfer. There are a couple of extras, but not much unfortunately. There's a home movie that is about 5 - 6 minutes in length. It is of John Wayne & John Ford scouting locations in Mexico. They appear to have been filmed on those silent color Kodak cameras, which were popular around that time. Since there's no sound, the producers put in some nice string music in the background. Also, there are production notes about the film, Cast & Crew notes, and what appears to be an original release theatrical trailer.
Even though I had greater hopes for the extras on this DVD, it's the movie that's the important part of the purchase, and you will not be disappointed.
Here's hoping Fort Apache comes out shortly!
