I thought the previews for this looked really good and I've read mix reviews by the so called "critics" but has anyone seen this? I generally like Michael Douglas's films and haven't seen a good thriller/suspense flick in some time.

I went and saw this at the theatre, because it appeared to be a really good movie based upon the previews I saw. However, both my date and I, and many others I talked to while leaving seemed pretty disappointed with it.

It's fairly entertaining, but it is one of those movies that needs to be somewhat believable, but is just the opposite. Scenes including Douglas's wife, and the ending were particularly terrible I felt, and just made me think, "Sure.. haha Why can't that happen? haha what's next.."

Rent before you buy is my recommendation for what it's worth.

It's well-made fluff, with its fair share of plot holes.
The positives outweigh the negatives...

Here's our take on Don't Say A Word, both the film and disc--we were fairly negative on the former.

The reply value of this movie is in the negatives....the movie is not very interesting, very predictable, and quite boring...

Here's my review.

This is a movie for an era of lowered expectations. It's thoroughly lackluster in every way. Not a disaster, just lazy and not very thrilling.

This movie STINKS! I rented in 2 nights ago, hoping for just a good thriller and was sorely disappointed. The lone detective woman driving all over ALONE is ridiculous and the ending is just plain silly. Hardly any part of this movie is the least bit believeable, and I'm more than willing to try suspend my belief for a good flick. Movie=awful IMO.
The DVD is good, though, nice eerie use of surrounds & bass. Fine picture quality.
But so what? Blech...

I personally enjoyed it. The dvd is pretty loaded too. i like the Britney Murphy screen test. Kind of crazy. The audio put my sub to the test. Overall I'm glad I bought it. But hey it was free thanks to amazon once again...........

I rented this movie and thought it was horrible. Every cliche is present. And Michael Douglas does things in this movie that make absolutely no sense.

Decent film. Good DTS track decent video. Brittany Murphy is HOT!!!!!! I thought she was a pig in Clueless, but she looked good in this flick. And Jennifer Esposito was hot as always!!!!
