Highlander: The Series - Any reviews?

Has anybody purchased the season one box set of Highlander: The Series from it's only sale point: the official website. If so, how is the quality?

I'm interested in a review of this too. $129.99 is too much to pay without knowing the qualiyty of the discs and if there is anything extra included on them. Anyone?

Still looking for a review of the boxset, if anyone has more info, it would be greatly appreciated.

Guess I'll just buy the bloody thing myself then. I like the series and it would easily replace the SLP VHS's that I got off of Sci Fi Channel. I just hope they aren't the edited ones and are the International versions.

I would go over to the official site and read the message
boards. Click on the Highlander series link.
There are some reviews. You will have to search thru the
pages. But I saw some a while ago.
Also reported problems and such.....I really want the set also.
But I will wait for another site to offer it.

Well, after viewing the early reviews, I think I'm going to hold off a little while. It may be a matter of the presing since there seem to be problems with a specific disc. I just don't understand why these are not available outside of the official site, or why it isn't advertised as an exclusive.

I got the set as a Xmas present. I haven't seen any problems with any of the discs. The extras frankly aren't all that great but then I rarely watch the extras on a disc more than once anyway. So far, you can only order the boxset directly from Highlander but I understand they're finally advertising the set to the general public on TNN. Hopefully, this will generate more sales and encourage them to go ahead and release further seasons - a prospect which is looking dim according to the highlander discussion board. Of course the poor sales might be linked to their heretofore total lack of advertising and ridiculously high tariff. I mean, come on - Buffy 2 is coming out at a max MSRP of 69.95 and they want 129.95 plus s/h fee of 9 or 10 dollars! Of course if you want to go the VHS route you can get each season for just 99 dollars each now - what a bargain.

Wow Dvdboyo....you actually got yours before xmas.
I know a couple of people who had to wait until
late febuary or early march to get there sets.
I know most recieved theirs ok, but many did not.

So how about a review. How do you like the transfer?
How is the sound quality?
Have you viewed all the discs yet?
How do you like the packaging and such. etc.
