dvds you can't afford to be without!

Here are some movies any dvd collection should not be without!

The falcon and the snowman - no extras but a great movie.

Planet of the apes(2001) - Awful ending but still a great dvd.

Andrew lloyd webber's Jesus Christ Superstar(2001) - Best musical of the year. Judas (jerome pradon) is the star in this one and has the best part.

The Warriors - Best street gang movie ever!

Forrest Gump - Best Tom Hank's movie.

Brazil:CC - The definition of a Criterion editions, tons of extras, non-anamorphic but wonderful transfer of a weird, yet great in my opinion movie.

Citizen Kane - 'nuff said.

Die Hard: Ultimate Collection: 16x9, and DTS, fun movies

Fight Club - great movie, great extras, great transfer, great sound, what more do you want?

Godfather - wonderful wonderful movies, good transfers, good sound, good extras

Matrix - how can you not?

Moulin Rouge - just got but I'm in love with, everything exceptional

Rushmore: CC - Fun fun movie, with plentiful of extras

Sopranos - duh!!! Great transfers, great sound, and best of all each episode is like a movie within itself!

Toy Story: Ultimate Toy Box - see all of that praise above? Multiply it by 10 and that's the greatness that is this boxset.

and that's about it Well I have a ton more lol

Film and TV that seems made for DVD format

Twin Peaks:Season 1

X-Files Season 2 (as good as this show got IMO)

Alien (incredible disc claustrophobia as film, great score)

The Thing (The John Carpenter DVD of choice, atmosphere!

Straight Story (minimalistic beauty of life exposed in 2hrs

There are more of course but these are my favorites

If I can only take one movie with me on a deserted island, it would definitely be The Matrix
