Don't even bother...
What a waste of time. One-dimensional characters, sluggish pacing...an overal bore! Do yourself a favor and travel to a local theatre and see "SERENDIPITY" instead. I'm sure that you will not be disappointed.

Actually I enjoyed this film a great deal. It's probably my favorite romantic comedy released in the past decade. I've watched it three or four times so far and enjoyed it immensly each time.

Return to Me is a delightful little film that doesn't try to be anything more than a light-hearted romantic comedy and succeeds admirably. The comic relief offered by Loggia, O'Conner, and company is worth the price of admission alone.
The DVD is solid in every department and the Bonnie Hunt commentary is worth the listen.

Actually, I found the romantic comedy portion of the movie not all that romantic (or comedic) -- although I like David Duchovny and Minnie Driver, I just didn't feel too many sparks there.
But I did think the movie has a great sense of place -- it's pretty good at setting up the community feel of the restaurant where many of the scenes take place. I think Roger Ebert called this one of the best movies about Chicago ever made -- I would tend to agree.
The commentary track with Bonnie Hunt and her co-writer is moderately amusing, especially if you like Bonnie Hunt's type of humor.
Of course, if you don't like Chicago or Bonnie Hunt's type of humor, then stay away...
